The 2012 Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes, presented by Colorado Group Realty, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The self-guided tour provides an opportunity for the public to visit stunning mountain properties in five Steamboat neighborhoods. Tickets are $20 per person with proceeds benefiting the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation.

“These residences represent a variety of styles exhibited in mountain homebuilding,” said Bart Kounovsky, board member of the Charitable Foundation. “Participants will experience a slice of mountain living not usually seen by the public.”

“All proceeds will go to deserving charities within the Yampa Valley,” Kounovsky said.

Call 970-870-8800 or visit Colorado Group at 509 Lincoln Ave. for tickets.

The Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes is scheduled to coincide with the Steamboat Wine Festival, which features more than 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, epicurean purveyors and locally made products.

77 homes sell in June throughout the county

The number of homes of all types that sold in June in Routt County reached 77, pushing the total for the first six months of the year to 301.

June’s total included seven homes priced at $1 million or more, but the biggest single price point for unit volume was marked by the 34 sales that closed for prices between $300,000 and $500,000, said Stan Urban, of Land Title Guarantee Co.
