Craig Intermediate School

Craig Intermediate School was created in the fall of 1996 when Craig Middle School was divided into two separate Schools. The School was built in 1964 and serves grades five and six.

Located at 201 E. 9th St., the School has approximately 325 students with an instructional staff that includes 24 teachers, a counselor, a librarian, teacher aides and a principal. A core academic program is offered with a selection of electives for sixth grade students.

The School has several clubs students can participate in, including Kids From the Country Choir, the Spelling Club, the Friday Morning Club, the Life Savers, the Art Club, the Science Club.

The School was rated Average for its Academic Performance in the 2007-08 Colorado School Accountability Report. The average teacher experience for the school is 15 years. Student-to-teacher ratios are about 14 to 1.

The current pricipal is Kamisha Siminoe.
